Meet The Forest Fairy:
Kate Daniell
I was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina.
Upon entering the prime of my life at the ripe young age of 35, I began to think to myself, “Self, is it really fair for you to share your amazing humor, charisma, and humble nature with only the Night Time folk? What about those poor Day Time folks?” I came to the inevitable conclusion that it was indeed, not fair. And so I began the adventure to turn my love for being out in nature and foraging into a full time job.
I went to Savannah College of Art and Design where I got a BFA in Graphic Design and more importantly discovered my love for food and the industry surrounding it.
I got my certification to forage and sell in 9 different states shortly after and haven’t looked back!
I will not pretend that it is hasn’t been a very steep learning curve. There have been plenty of hiccups along the way, but what fun is smooth ride anyways, right?
The opportunity to be still a part of the amazing F&B Community that we have here in Charleston while being my own boss is an actual dream come true!
I am learning new things everyday and hope to expand my inventory along with my knowledge base, so stay tuned! You never know what I'll be up to next!
